We received the following from Margie Perscheid of Korean Focus Metro DC:
Korean Focus Metro DC, an organization for adoptees from Korea and Korean adoptive families, has started a Change.org petition to raise awareness of the intercountry adoptee citizenship gap left by the Child Citizenship Act of 2000. We are asking intercountry adoption and adoption advocacy organizations to assist in raising awareness of this issue by sharing this link with your members and mailing lists, and publicizing it on social media sits and website. The petition can be viewed and signed here:

There have been too many deportations, and too many adoptees are exiled outside of the U.S. because they lack the legal status to return. We hope our petition raises awareness of this issue, and demonstrates to Congress that the intercountry adoption community expects them to correct it.
Please feel free to contact me for additional information. Thank you in advance for your support.
