Japan is calling the devastating earthquake and tsunami of March 2011 the country’s worst crisis since World War II. Most of the children affected by the disasters have been reunited with their families. We are now focusing our efforts on building an emergency fund for Japanese birthmothers who have been displaced or challenged by the earthquake and tsunami. One of our birthmothers from Sendai, a city that was nearly destroyed by the catastrophes was left homeless. The Japanese agency had to locate a new place to for her to live in Tokyo, where she was thus able to deliver her baby in safety and security before placing with a U.S family for adoption. But, it’s expensive and we need your help. Across The World Adoptions is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) registered charity. We are able to accept your donation for our birthmother emergency fund and provide a receipt for your taxes (check with your tax provider about deductions for charitable donations).
